Authenticate Report
Modification of any kind of analysis reports constitutes document forgery and is therefore a criminal act. Hence, analytical laboratories are obliged to file a police report whenever they encounter forged reports. Even blacking out the customer address or using recognisable parts of the design is illegal.
Our analysis reports contain a QR code. Scanning the code with your phone allows you to download the original document, providing a quick and easy way of verifying the document’s authenticity.
If a report does not have a QR code (reports that were issued before 31/12/2018), you can contact us directly by email and attach the report in question. We will then examine the report and provide you with feedback. This service is, of course, free of charge.
There are a number of characteristics that you can use to verify the authenticity of a report yourself. When encountering a report on the market, ask yourself the following questions:
- For reports that were issued after 01/01/2019: Does it have a QR code and can I scan it? Does the code forward me to the same document as the one I have in front of me?
- Are there any codes or numbers missing, such as the internal name or the invoice number?
- Are there different typefaces or font sizes that do not match the design? Are there any other visual discrepancies?
- Is the CBD-Test logo present?
- Does it bear the signature of our laboratory manager and the address of our laboratory?
- Is there an addressee, or has it been blacked out? In the event of blacked-out addressees, ask for the original document. If this is not possible, request a second analysis of the material.
- Do the results make sense for the material that was tested?
- Photographs, photocopies, screenshots or other reproductions are not trustworthy under any circumstances.
We recommend that all market participants critically review reports and only purchase and sell material with trustworthy, complete analysis reports. In cases of doubt, it is always advisable to contact us directly.
